Interactive tool

What may apply to your building?

Check the building’s height, use and stage against the main England requirements. Start with your own details or load the example building.

For the HRB test, use the top floor surface, not the roof height. Ground level, storeys, connected buildings and exclusions have specific rules. Check how to measure. Leave unknown values blank.

Enter your building details
The result will identify routes to check, not confirm compliance.

This tool gives an indicative view of duties under the Building Safety Act 2022, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022. Scope, exemptions and transitional provisions vary. It is not legal advice and does not replace a competent professional's assessment.

    Portfolio assurance

    See the evidence.
    Prioritise the next action.

For clients with several buildings we maintain a single register of status, evidence, inspections and actions, and report on it regularly.

    • Explicit RAG criteria. Red, amber and green are defined in advance and never mix verified non-compliance with missing evidence.
    • Every action has an owner. Priority, responsible party, target date and progress for each item.
    • Full audit trail. Evidence, decisions and previous reviews kept with the building record.
